Battulga.Kh: Focusing on three major course of Mongolian study

The President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga welcomed representatives of Mongolists and international scholars, who are participating in the International Scientific Conference themed “The Buddha's teaching: The Study of Mongolian Ganjuur".
President Battulga also serves as Vice President of the International Association for Mongolian Studies.
At the meeting, President Battulga noted: “A year ago I was appointed as Vice President of the International Association for Mongolian Studies. I have a sincere willingness to support Mongolian studies. We are working on studies of archeology, history and culture of Mongolia. I appreciate for your letters of congratulation on my election as the President”.
Then he added, “As the president of Mongolia, I am thinking of supporting the International Association for Mongolian Studies and open up a new, particular environment. I am planning to work mainly on three particular Mongolian studies, which are based on Asia, Europe, and America. Also, I am planning organizing a contest between researchers under a specific theme every year.”
Then, Director of the Institute of History and Archeology at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, General Secretary of the International Association for Mongolian Studies S.Chuluun appreciated the President of Mongolia for accepting them the meeting. He also introduced the accompanying representatives of Mongolists and scholars from different countries to the President of Mongolia.
“Nagami Tatsuyo is doctor of Foreign Study university of Tokyo. Professor of Asia and Africa study institute. Agata Bareiya, director of Mongolian study center in University of Warsaw, Poland has arrived. Vallas.A is from University of California, Santa Barbara, USA. He mainly studies Mongolian Buddhism. Anna Damdinovna Tsendina is daughter Damdinsuren Tsend. Well known mongolistic of Russian Federation. N.S.Yakhontava is from institute of manuscript of the eastern, Science Academy of Russian Federation and researcher of university of St. Petersburg. Tserenkhand studies Mongolian Buddhism. Darkhankhuu is a researcher from Inner Mongolia.
Teleki Kristina, researcher of university of Otwosh Lorand, Budapest, Hungery, Ondrei Srba, presentative of mongolistics in Prague, Czech Republic, A.A.Bazarov representative of mongolistics in Ulan-Ude, Russian Federation, Setsenbileg, researcher of national library in Inner Mongolia, China, is currently studying Danjuur book. Tsogt, director of Mongolian study center in Beijing center national university, Takashi Matsukava, professor of Otani University, Japan, studying petrogrlyph for years and currently studying petroglyph of Khar Khorum city. Khurts is a mongolistic researcher of Teachers Universiry in Inner Mongolia, China. Michael Balk is a professor National library of Germany. Byambaa.R has been working in the University of Warsaw for many years and he is currently studying Mongolian Buddhism and sutras. Uradiin Bulag.E, researcher of Cambridge University, vice president of International Association of Mongolian Study has come.” he introduced the guests.
Representatives of the mongolistics made a speech during the meeting. Anna Tsendina, researcher of university of humanities, Moskwa, Russia: First of all, I would like to congratulate you on winning of the election by majority vote of Mongolians. I am here as a representative of Russian Mongolisctics. Mongolian Study in Russia has long time history. There has been many of good researchers. Some of them are still working with me. Lately, youths are more interested about Mongolia. As a person works in a university, I can assure it.
In the past, a few people wanted to study in Mongolian class. Now, many students are coming to study in this class. Unfortunately, there is an issue of salary. Mongolian study, as well as social science field is weakly. However, we are doing our best. I think there is no other pleasant field such as Mongol Study.
Original version of “Shar tuuj” is kept in St. Petersburg. We reprinted this book in Russia with support of Mongolian Research Foundation. I would like to give you this new version. In the future, I hope you support and promote Mongolian Study.

Takashi Matsukava, professor of Otani University, Japan: Within the scope of “Bichees” project, we have been studying different types of petroglyphs in Mongolia for more than 20 years. 800th anniversary of Mongolian capital KharKhorum will be celebrated in 2020. There is a monument, which is the proof of 800 years of history. However, the monument is shattered and its pieces are spread everywhere. It was used be stand on the turtle monument in Khar Khorum. We have to restore this monument. I want to you consider it.
Tsogt, director of Mongolian study center in Beijing center national university: Students from fifty-six nationalities study in our university. We have a center of Mongolian study, the biggest Mongolian study center in Beijing. There are more than 300 hundred students and teachers in this center. Congratulation on winning the election.
